Setting up roaming.

All you need to know about setting up roaming on your iD phone.

Heading abroad soon? Lucky you! We want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so no matter where you're going – whether it’s London or Bali – we've got you covered. Before heading off, check out our handy guide on how to set your phone up for roaming.

Don’t forget! When you return home you'll need to reverse these settings.

If you have a Samsung phone:
  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Click on the iD SIM card icon
  3. Select 'Roaming Services'
  4. Choose 'Select Mode'
  5. Click 'Select Manual'
  6. Choose 'International' (when you return home complete the same steps but choose 'Home' here.)
  7. Then just restart your phone and you are good to go!

If you have an iPhone:

  1. Go to 'Settings'
  2. Select 'Phone'
  3. Click on 'SIM Applications'
  4. Choose 'Roaming Services'
  5. Click 'Select Mode'
  6. Select 'Manual'
  7. Choose 'International' (when you return home complete the same steps but choose 'home' here.)
  8. Then just restart your phone and you are good to go!

If you have an unlocked* HTC phone:
(*applies if you purchased your phone on a different mobile network before joining iD) 
  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Click on the iD SIM card icon
  3. Select 'Roaming Services'
  4. Choose 'Select Mode'
  5. Click 'Select Manual'
  6. Choose 'International' (when you return home complete the same steps but choose 'Home' here.)
  7. Then just restart your phone and you are good to go!

If you have an iD branded* HTC phone:
(*applies if you purchased your phone from iD or iD at Carphone Warehouse)
  1. Call customer care, 1747, or (089) 700 1747 from a non iD phone.

If you have a Huawei phone:

  1. Go to the 'Tools' folder on the main screen, click on the iD SIM card icon
  2. Click 'Rroaming Services'
  3. Choose 'Select Mode'
  4. Click 'Manual'
  5. Choose 'International' (when you return home complete the same steps but choose 'Home' here.)
  6. Then just restart your phone and you are good to go!
